My birthday cake-making for Tim went sideways yesterday—somehow the icing just didn't turn out—but I managed to basically salvage things with coconut milk and kept Amy Stevens' photographs of her "exuberantly imperfect" confections in mind. Tim marked his twenty-seventh year with a sharp set at the Factory, a Warhol-loving bar in Jeju.
